Here is your blog for questions and comments about Natural Light tubular skylight systems in the Virgin Islands and other locations that use cathedral ceiling designs or unique drop ceiling designs.

Huper Optik Q & A Blog

Good Day Bloggers,

This is the place to ask or comment about Huper Optik Ceramic Window Film or any of their other product lines. In oceanic environments like the Virgin Islands there is no other window film that comes close to the performance, aesthetics or quality of this film. Let me know your thoughts.

Regards,
Sean

Good Day Blogger,

Feel free to ask questions or leave comments about Thermal Control Membrane and/or radiant barrier technology. This site is best suited for individuals living in tropical climate zones as we are doing business in the US Virgin Islands.

Caribbean Printing & Marketing

This customer had three goals; to lower the heat gain, create privacy at the work stations and lower the WAPA Bill. We easily accomplished them all with Huper Optik Fusion 10 Window Film. This metalized mirrored film creates a daytime outside mirror affect while rejecting 77% of the Total Solar Energy coming in contact with the glass. This customer has reported cycling of his a/c equipment when it used to run constant all day long. This product qualified for the VI Energy Office rebate which is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (otherwise known as the "Stimulus Funds"). 30% of the cost of the window film will be rebated. The pictures above were taken while only one of the two windows had been installed.

Ink Drop Refill Center

This installation was a retro-fit in a metal framed and uninsulated building in Peters Rest St Croix, USVI. The building has a split a/c unit that could not keep up with the Infrared Radiation heat gain. We used earth magnets to install the TCM4-IRW (white reinforced) to the underside of the metal roofing of the building. Watch the video to see the temperature change that happens instantaneously. Also Huper Optik Fusion 20 Window Film was installed on the east facing window and door that got pounded by sun every morning. It now rejects 69% of the Total Solar Energy coming in to contact with those glazings. I just spoke to one of the owners and she told me that she had to wear a sweater at work in this building the other day.

Estate Shoys St Croix, US Virgin Islands

Here is an installation at Estate Shoys. The installation was TCM4-IR hammer tacked on top of the rafters, then plywood decking, then ice shield and final corrugated metal roof. Notice the exposed performance layer exposed between the rafters. Also the temperature differential of 11 degrees. This installation was performed by All Points construction during mostly cloudy days and frequent rain. There was a final drop ceiling installed to the underside of the rafters.
